It is time for our 5-year clothing design update. This year we have two designs for the club to vote on. A few of our members have worked very hard on several designs. The clothing committee has been busy working with various designers and selected the ones that fit our club best. Now, we want your vote to help make the final decision. Look at the following designs and proceed to the forum to log your vote.

Voting will close on Sept 29th and all member votes will be counted. Please vote one time. You may edit your vote up until midnight September 29th. You must log into the site to place a vote. Please log in early so we can help you get access if you need assistance.

If you want to make comment on the designs (which we encourage!), keep in mind that these are conceptual designs. We will finalize the sponsor positions, graphics, logos over the next few weeks. And finally, please be mindful of the long hours of volunteer time put in to make these choices available to everyone. Pray before you submit your "feedback" as the goal of all club members is to ultimately honor our God! Amen!

NOTE: The major color of the club shorts will be black.

I like Design B.

I like design B cause it will not make current clothing look so outdated. in this economy folks may not be able to buy whole new kits. Thanks for the black shorts option.

Design A

I like design A - having a recognizable Christian symbol on a jersey is a great way of silently witnessing.

I prefer Design B.
As stated in other posts, adopting Design B would not make the existing jerseys look out of date. However, I would prefer more white in the shorts to match up with the Design B jersey.

I am voting for design B. I have always loved the design of the past 5 years. The orange fade-to design is a real eye-catcher at race events. B keeps this theme's influence while brightening things up.

Both designs are great but I think Design A may stand out the best. So, pick design A.

Mainly because it is so different from the last design and looks great. Not that the last design didn't look good, but it would be a new jersey in the closet to wear and not another "almost the same" jersey

Both look great... great job to whomever! I prefer design B. It is close to our current design, yet updated enough to make it stand out.

I vote for Design B. The colors are vibrant and the symbols are nicely arranged.

I'll cast my net around "A". Like the brighter colors, might stand out more for drivers to see.

Design B. More easily identifiable with ICCC and stands out from other club designs.

My vote would be for design "B". Any idea on what the back of "B" looks like? "B" updates the look but retains much of the look that everyone recognizes as ICCC.

I for one hope that we maintain some color in the shorts as well. Our current kit looks great, looks more like a pro team kit, and is unique and immediately identifiable.

I team jersey with black shorts looks like exactly what it is... a jersey with black shorts not really what appears to be a kit.

Vote for A, I like the new design. It is nice to freshen up the kit. I agree I would like to see the IC3 logo on the chest. Great design!!!!

I really like both designs but I'm leaning to the A style. Would like to see the black replaced with the bluish/purple color on the current style. This would allow it to match better with the current short style as well as the new black shorts.

I like design A. However, I might suggest putting a little more white space between the C and the 3 so it looks a little less like an emoticon. But maybe I just see stuff weirdly.

I vote for design B: a great refresh of the existing, already outstanding design. Would be great to see the back of design B, however. (It was the stars on design A that did me in there.)

I have 3 SS jerseys, one skinsuit, one LS jersey and a "one-off" jersey that all incorporate the orange/finish-line checkerboard style.

We have people that yell out "Hey IC3" from the other side of the road, because they recognize the jersey from hundreds of feet away. Recognition is key in many of our relationships. Our jersey is our "brand", so to speak.

I would like to see the back of design B, to see if the cross and fish are still there and not replaced/covered with sponsor logos.

I like A, but my vote is for B so that we can continue with a similar, recognizable theme for those that look for us, as well as for new members to have similar kits to those that have purchased in previous years.

Design A is my vote.

I do ask that the shorts are NOT nearly all black. All black looks like every other short out there. Colors definitely help the kit stand out.

The Farnam family (two active members both voting) prefer design B. We like that it keeps with the existing theme, yet adds a new boldness (more contrast) to the design. It is easily recognizable as similar to the old design, but stands out more. We do appreciate the bold "IC3" in design A, but overall we place our two votes for design B.

On a side note you can see how the shorts may look with version B if you check out the Northern California spoke kit. I will not be sad if we pick this one as well.

B updates the kit while not totally changing the scheme.

B keeps the old kits and new kits from bring drastically different while making the kits still look new and fresh.

B for many of the reasons listed already, but mostly plainly by DallasBkr. It is similar to the current kit, so people will still recognize us -- but we have a WAY-FRESH look.

Although I would be sad to see the fish on the collar replaced with sponsor ads of any kind. It is not always noticed, but it shows up in nearly every picture I have and is a great "silent witness" for us all.

I have to go with design B...The other is just too different from original.I also think design B just looks really pro.

B looks more like today,and like a pro tour team...that's just great!!!u got all the romanian spoke vote for B...looks european also:P

Design B.
As a new member it seems logical to stay with the same logo theme with all the old accessories; socks,hats,bottles,business cards...etc. With the subtle changes you still look like the IC3 everyone has come to recognize. I like the black instead of blue~purple. I don't have an old jersey but I never could tell from pics if it was black, blue or purple.
One of the secondary colors flowed into the shorts would look good.
B looks more akin to a pro-style jersey also.

Great designs!

They're both great...but, I think B would stand out more in traffic...I like the orange jerseys, better chance a car will see me. Orange also stands out in a crit race...can pick out ICCC riders easily. On the other hand, I like the fish symbol and the BIG IC3...more of an overt statement on who we are.

Design A

Design B gets my vote.

I really like design A

Many reasons have led to this decision. Like most have stated, "A" accomplishes the task of updating our image with current trends while maintaining enough iconography to anchor the look in a thematically Christian based design.

I like Design B.. and so does my wife

I prefer design A although either would be OK. I am still riding with an even older design. I appreciate all the work folks have done on this.

I like Design B. I haven't ordered a kit yet from IC3 but I am looking forward to witnessing while on my bike. God bless all of you who volunteer time with the different Spokes.

I agree with the economics thought, but the Christian symbol sets design A apart. Design A. Design B is awesome as well.

I really like Design B. It is recognizable and unique from other team jersies. It is similar to past jersies but that is what makes the club cohesive. I definately vote for B.

Having had a preview of the design evolution, my favorite actually didn't make the final cut....The Norcal Spoke are familiar with design B and i agree it is a very classy design that stands out from teh boring old "reds" and "blues" of the other clubs.

Design B is the one I choose.

When watching for my team to come through the woods, I'm always looking for that checkerboard. There's always some others who have the same colors as we do, but that checkerboard has been the distinctive that makes our racers stand out so I know when to cheer. I'd be lost without it!!

I prefer Design B because, as others have said, it doesn't make the current design look so outdated and I think we need to try to maintain some consistency in our kit so when other cyclists see us they will recognize IC3.

Great job on both - I prefer design B. Just a thought on the shorts. Are you going to stick with the IC3 logo or go back to spelling out International Christian Cycling Club? In the past the old shorts with the clear verbiage created much more conversation.

In the Twin Cities Spoke we promote our jersey in the club as our most visible ministry tool and make every effort to allow people to have one (we budget for our "jersey program" where we give you a jersey when you join our spoke). Our mass of orange is great to see when we're together and really stands out when we're in small groups or alone. In rides and races we are easily recognized. Whoever did the graphics work on the current design really did a great job creating a visible and useable "tool". We've hosted a few display booths and have had significant traffic just because people wanted to look at the jerseys we hang up. So from our ministry perspective the current design has been popular enough that our members are excited to wear it and has served us well gaining local recognition as we build our reputation in the local rec and race scene.

From a cohesiveness perspective I see a dramatic change creating a setback from the work we've done so far to gain consistency and recognizability (is that a word?). Finishing our 3rd season, and having grown to ~75 members and everyone has a jersey of the current design. Not all of our members will be buying new jerseys, and with a completely different look we would basically look like two different clubs, where we've worked hard to build a consistent look that has generated a lot of interest in membership and given people confidence to be a local missionary whenever they ride their bike.

So from my perspective trying to direct our spoke and maintain the progress and direction we've had (and continue to have) I would like to see a design that is compatible with the current version. Most clubs have changing designs, and you can tell when someone is wearing different versions next to each other (although most race clubs make you buy the current jersey each year) but we don't require having the latest and greatest jersey and design B would at least allow us to retain our cohesive look while recognizing evolutionary updating to our graphics to keep us fresh.

In the end I'll support whatever is decided and we'll make it work, but my vote is for B. And I'll cast up to 75 more votes for those of our members who haven't voted! (can I do that, Paul?)

Still very recognizable as the IC3 kit, very similar to the Cali Spokes kit and there shorts are a solid match to the Design B.

Honestly, i'm not too crazy about either. So I'm picking B just so that my current clothing will somewhat match the new stuff...

I don't think we should change it just because of an arbitrary time frame has passed. if it ain't broke, don't fix it. I thought the subtle change with the checkers being tapered was quite nice...

I vote for design "B" as it is the closest to previous designs and would still provide a cohesive look on club rides and races when some club-mates are wearing older kits.

I vote B. We have a brand. I can see my teammates from a long ways away. For that matter, I know my teammates are doing well as I get lapped in the crit....again....urgh.

Design B, in my opinion, pops a lot better.

I prefer design B for two main reasons. One is because it is similar to the current design. The second is for safety - the higher percentage of orange makes the shirt more visible out on the road.

Both clothing designs look awesome, thanks to all who provided input for their design. My vote is for B!

I find it funny that this is the only thing our team will respond to.
I have left messages on the Northern California and Twin Cities spokes board and NEVER received a response from a fellow CHRISTIAN (un-impressed).
I have also monitored other post to see if they would get a response (uh-NO).

Hi Michael; I just noticed your comment about obtaining no response from the NorCal spoke.

The Norcal Spoke actually has a very vibrant and responsive forum; however it resides within their own website:

There is also a Race specific forum that has restricted membership for those who race or are interested in racing with Norcal, where race tactics, ride sharing etc is discussed.

I didn't even know there was a Norcal specific forum on the main IC3 site. Tut tut!! I will ask if a link can be put from the main site to the Norcal forum location as it seems pointless having it listed when the spoke don't use it and they have one they do actively use.

Apologies on behalf of the Norcal spoke. I can assure you it is a very active and responsive group of riders...

Very eye catching.

I like Design A for its freshness and clean look - so A gets my vote. I like that both designs have more white on them also - it looks clean. When a kit is updated, it needs to be a global update- that gets new looks and much attention especially the respresentation for our MAJOR SPONSOR and LEADER- Jesus Christ! Also, the black will tend to match black shorts better, as well. I will say that the B design is also very cool, so I will not be disappointed either way. Kudos to all designers - I have been hoping for updated kits.

I like the large IC3 letters and the cup representing the blood of Christ.

Is there a poll, or do I just say what I want to vote? I like the new Style A. I wear black baggy shorts (MTB-style) because I look better in them, and the black hightlights will go better with them.

I already voted but I would like to see examples of the shorts that go along with both designs.

In the PA area I know there are allot of clubs that have gone toward the red/black and white color scheme so the "A" design would not stand out from the crowd as well as the "B" design.
Also I would second the comment someone made about the checker board pattern. I can spot that pattern from a long way off and know that it is an IC3 rider.

The colors stand out and lots of people recognize the look. It would be great to retain some of the key design elements & colors so you don’t need to buy a whole set to feel like you are part of the club.

I really appreciate the work that others have done on the designs so far!

I tend to lean more towards Design B. As others, Design-A looks good but will not go with previous clothing which a lot of us have. The other thing that I'm don't like about Design-A is the different front and back look/layout! The shoulders and sides of Design-A would also work with Design-B

I was very busy when the design process started, so I hope ya'll don't mind that I took Design B and made a couple options to let ya'll see what I think may work. I'm just not real fond of the racing stripe look on the jersey, especially the newer curved version. The stripe just ended at the bottom not blending with the shorts.

I vote for B hands down. The black makes the other colors stand out better. It maintains the basic look of the current designs so people will be able to easily identify us but it still has a fresh look to it. Some black on the shorts, especially around the seat area would be great, as long as they are not all black.

Design B!

I like A, it follows better and was designed from the ground up with the total product in mind. I know how much time John T from the norcal spoke has put into this so he deserves our support. The new jersey also will project our mission and goals more clearly, with IC3 large and the fish as the lords followers.
